Free live online 6 week Mindfulness Based Course
“Building Resilience and Strengthening your Immune System“
This Mindfulness based and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique – Tapping) course is designed to be fun and interactive, you will learn some great new skills to help manage anxiety, stress and fear. We will share with you techniques that are backed by scientific research that can assist you to build resilience and to strengthen your immune system, you will learn how to remain calm in the face of fear, how to focus your attention and then how to reconnect with what is most important to you, to create powerful positive intentions which can propel you into new and exciting life situations.
This is a free course that you will have 3 opportunities to join live each week. While it is a free course we do encourage you to pay it forward. Paying it forward means – means that you then do something for others without asking for payment in return – maybe it might be mowing your elderly neighbours lawn or putting a care package together for people in your neighbourhood who may have lost their job, maybe create your own free course online for a skill that you have e.g. How to play chess or something about gardening the ideas are endless.

Sarah O’donnell is an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping practitioner, meditation teacher and works in children services.
Our purpose – We know that people are struggling and suffering and we just want to offer something to bring our community together, to empower people with the knowledge and skills they can use now and to take into the future. We just want to share a bit of happiness in these troubled times.
Starting Tuesday 24th March: 7.00-8.00pm with the last available session on Sunday 3rd at 4.00-5.00pm EADT.
The same content will be repeated Tuesdays 7-8pm, Thursdays 10-11 am & Sundays 4-5pm AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time) All live, all free.
Topics covered each week
Week 1 – Lets make a start – We will cover how the body responds to stress and fear & how it affects your immune system. You will learn about the nature of the mind and we will start with some deeply relaxation techniques.
Week 2 – The tricky monkey mind – we will delve a little deeper into the nature of the mind and learn how to defuse some of those really unhelpful, damaging thinking patterns. The techniques you will learn here you will be able to take into your everyday life & we will talk about setting up a regular mindfulness practice.
Week 3 – Tapping out the stress – Sarah O’donnell will join us as our guest speaker. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress. People who use this technique believe tapping the body can create a balance in your energy system and release stress and trauma within your body.
Week 4 – The mindful compassionate self – This week we will start to explore the role our emotions play and how we can mindfully be aware of our emotions – you will learn some powerful ‘self-compassion mindfulness practices’.
Week 5 – The open heart – This week we will start to explore the role of the heart and delve deeper into the power of emotions. We will share with you some exciting new research about the heart. Using the HeartMath technology to demonstrate the profound effects these techniques that have been developed from this research, to show profound effects on the body
Week 6 – Creating into to the future – Now that you have been practicing your mindfulness and EFT techniques, as well as becoming aware of your thinking and emotionally patterns over the last 5 weeks; It is time to discover how you can focus your mind and positive intentions to create a future life that you would love to live.

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone, because everyone can benefit from the practice of Mindfulness & EFT. It is a very practical course, so previous knowledge or experience is not necessary. We explain what Mindfulness & EFT is, we demonstrate the techniques, you then have the opportunity to play with them.
If you work in the health, education or essential service industries, these mindfulness strategies you learn will be particularly useful in dealing with everyday stressors.
If you have been through difficult life circumstance e.g. losing your job, or hurting from the recent bushfires, floods or drought this course will help you through these challenging times and into the future.
